Police Spokesperson Charles Owino has disclosed the challenges his own community has been subjecting him to anytime they are in direct confrontation with the government.

On  a long sit down interview with Jeff Koinage on JKL weekly segment of Wednesday November 2 night, Mr. Owino narrated how it was hard confronting people from his own community with hard truth whenever there has been an election.

Past chaotic scenes in Kisumu County.

He recounted several instances he had to go there and condemn their stone throwing actions what would always pit him against them.

“But now that they are working with the government, I am happy and you can see I am  even in good shape, health and everything,” he told Jeff adding that he soundly sleeps since no one is attacking him or complaining about his job anylonger.

During the past few general elections, his own Luo Community has been holding ugly protests some leading to not only running battles with authorities but also fatalities. This is after they felt their elections had been stolen.

For instance, in the past general elections, all Luo area residents did not go back to the repeat elections leaving Uhuru and William Ruto to have a field day.

They would later be declared the winners leaving Odinga and his National Super Alliance NASA Brigade licking their own wounds.

NASA comprised Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress Party, Ford Kenya Party led by Mosses Wetang’ula, Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper and their big brother Orange Democratic Movement ODM which eventually declared Odinga a winner through the historic Uhuru Park mock swearing in ceremony.
