Public Service Commission PSC has stripped Prof George Magoha off his Human Resource role which has now been passed to his junior Richard Belio Kipsang.
Afew days ago, the cabinet secretary was caught hurling insults at an aged education official Mbaka Gitonga from Uasin Gishu who had not done what the CS thought was obvious from his own judgment. This happened at Langas school.
In a Friday evening notice from Public Service Committee PSC, it was observed that there was a deliberate gross misconduct on the part of the CS which he ought to be punished for.
“In his place the Commission has designated the Principal Secretary for Early Learning and Basic Education Dr. Belio Kipsang to be incharge,” partly read the statement.
Kenyans have lauded the move but still want more action against the CS saying he had crossed the red line.
“Not enough. CS Magoha should RESIGN or get FIRED. That’s the bare minimum, not this cosmetic action meant to assuage public outrage. If he clings to office then National Assembly should PASS A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE against him. Nancy Barasa lost her job for a related offence,” tweeted Senator Millicent Omanga.
The boastful professor, however, has remained unapologetic saying instead of being pushed to do so, he would rather leave the job.
