Wednesday May 3, 2023 –Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition led by Raila Odinga will not be demonstrating tomorrow Thursday May 4. This is after their Kenya Kwanza counterparts agreed to let go Adan Kaynan for the talks to resume.
The government Bipartisan team has, therefore, today Wednesday May 3, replaced Eldas MP Adan Keynan with Saku Lawmaker Dido Saku.


Nominated Senator Esther Okenyuri, who is a member of the 14-member committee, confirmed that Kenya Kwanza Coalition, through National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, have decided to replace MP Keynan with another MP.
“We have consulted with Hon Keynan and the Coalition’s top leadership and the Hon Adan Wehliye Keynan has graciously agreed, in the greater interest of the country, to recuse himself from the bi-partisan committee.
“We have nominated the Saku MP Dido Rasso to replace the Hon. Adan Keynan in the Bipartisan Committee,” a statement signed by Ichung’wah indicated.
Making the confirmation, Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah said, the government has always been ready for peace but Raila and his camp have been playing games.
He seized the opportunity to urge the opposition to consider this milestone an return to the negotiating table.
“As Kenya Kwanza, we have always been ready to bend backwards to give dialogue a chance. We have done exactly that in replacing Adan Keynan with Saku MP, Dido Rasso in the Bipartisan talks. We welcome Azimio’s commitment to dialogue and denouncement of street protests,” he said.
