Tuesday, January 24, 2023 –Raila Odinga’s chief agent in the just-concluded election, Saitabao Ole Kanchory, has termed Raila’s threats to not recognize the current regime as a complete waste of time.
In a Monday January 23 straight-to-the-point statement, Mr. Kanchory noted that Odinga has had enough time to stop Ruto but he couldn’t and his current threats six months down the line are just mere political bluffs meant to push him towards next elections.
According to Saitabao, Raila’s old age tactics cannot bear fruits because time has not only elapsed but also Ruto’s government is fully in charge.
“Baba should give a clear way forward or hold his peace. Kenyans don’t have time for silly games,” he asserted.
This is after Raila threatened to use the whistle blower’s information to call for a thorough audit of last presidential election which he described as flawed.
Odinga’s sentiments were heavily supported by his allies including Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka as well as ex-running mate Martha Karua.
The trio have started holding countrywide rallies to pile pressure on William Ruto’s government to demonstrate maturity in leadership or resign because they think he(Ruto) did not win the August election.
Their first rally was organized yesterday Monday January 23 at Kamukunji Grounds in Nairobi and will be followed by a second one at Jacaranda Grounds.
Mr. Odinga used his Kamukunji rally to issue a total of 8 demands to William Ruto’s government. He also urged his supporters not to recognize Ruto as their president.
