Tuesday, May 16, 2023 –Cabinet Administrative Secretary CAS Jackline Mwenesi Lukalo has disclosed an unknown details on the existing relationship between opposition leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto.
While talking about the duo yesterday May 15, the Chief Administrative Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Ms Mwenesi said after the burial service of Field Marshal Mukami Kimathi last Saturday May 13, all roads were leading to Kasarani Stadium for the Kip Keiono Classic event.

When everyone else had arrived and sited, the organisers brought in another extra chair which they claimed belonged to unknown cabinet secretary CS.
Ruto would quickly order that the seat be exclusively reserved for his political nemesis Raila Odinga which he asked be place on the front row.
“He asked the organisers to reserve the chair for Mr. Odinga who was on his way to the venue. Ruto assured,” Mwenesi recounted the events at Kasarani and asked those still divided between Raila and Ruto to trade cautiously lest they be left high and dry sooner.
Present in the event was Prime Cabinet Secretary CS Musalia Mudvadi, Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba among several other top leaders in government.
Conspicuously missing was Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who, after the burial service of Mukami in Nyandarua, left to a different direction.
Raila’s presence at Kasarani with President Ruto would start raising eyebrows as to what mission the two could be upto.
When asked about Rigathi Gachagua by NTV Swahili news anchor Lofty Matambo at the recent Statehouse media briefing, President Ruto appeared agitated with the question.
Interestingly, Ruto and Raila would again turn up for the highly-hyped Mashemeji Derby pitting Gor Mahia against AFC Leopards the following day on Sunday may 14.
