Monday, April 17, 2023 –Nairobi-based comedian, Erick Omondi, has urged President William Ruto to first focus on helping the poor in the society before he can hire 50 plus Chief Administrative Secretaries CASs into government.
The comedian who keeps on making headlines every week, has singled out Dr. Evans Kidero as some of the tycoons who Ruto is wrong to hire back to State jobs.
It is reported that the five were being held up at Pumwani Maternity due to unpaid hospital bills which Eric noted in an interview that some of those detained at the facility had as low as sh 2,000 and sh 3,000 bills.
He took issue with both President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua and challenged them to step in and order the release of the remaining women still detained at the same facility.
He strongly criticised the government for the creation of more jobs for well-off people when the hustlers and mama mbogas are still in trenches.
“We have released 5 New Mothers who had been detained at Pumwani Maternity. Mr. President before you pay 50 CACs Sillions of Shillings before the Government buys brand new cars for the Executive, PLEASE make an order for all Mothers detained at Pumwani and across the country to be released,” said Erick on Instagram.

This comes months after he also released a lady from Lang’ata Women’s Prison who was jailed for shouting in the CBD.
Having successfully secured her release, Mr. Omondi vowed to help other petty offenders get their freedom, across the country.
