Wednesday, May 31, 2023 – Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party supporter Calvin Okoth Otieno aka Gaucho has accused part of Azimio la Umoja leaders of blocking him to meet former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a clip which Homenews.co.ke has seen make rounds on major social circles, Gaucho laments on how Azimio has discriminated some of the youth who have stood with it in hard times.

In the viral video, he starts by pointing out how he is forced to remain in police custody for days just because Azimio cannot send lawyers to secure his freedom.
He also claims that hundreds of youth who are part of his Bunge la Mwananchi movement had been arrested and jailed for years despite Azimio boasting of having top lawyers who could help them in such times.
In his own account, only Embakasi East Member of Parliament MP Paul Ongili aka Babu Owino has been coming to his rescue in cells all the time.
“When Maina Njenga was recently arrested, we saw all Azimio leaders run there. Njenga has not been with us, he just came the other day and he is already receiving immense attention from all Azimio leaders and lawyers,” he states in the clip.
The self-styled President of Youth goes ahead to expose some leaders in Azimio who have blocked him from reaching Uhuru Kenyatta.
“You know recently Mr. Kenyatta said something on me. I am supposed to be taken there because I can’t just walk there alone. No one wants to hear that,” he laments on.
Gaucho has, therefore, fired a warning shot at the opposition leaders to change or risk losing him for rivals.
He added that should, by bad luck, Bipartisan Talks collapse, he will not lead his fellow youth to the streets in another round of anti-government riots.
On his recent Spice FM Interview, Gaucho indicated that his boss Raila Odinga would be taking him to Uhuru this week.
Reacting to Gaucho’s clip and which he also shared on his timeline, Lawyer Miguna Miguna, on Wednesday May 31, lauded Gaucho for finally seeing the person Raila is.
“Everyone eventually wakes up from Raila Odinga’s hypocrisy and betrayals!” Lawyer Miguna Miguna observed.

Nonetheless, it’s not clear whether Raila was the one derailing Gaucho’s plans of meeting the former head of State who recently promised to buy him(Gaucho) ‘lunch’ for standing with Jubilee Party during a recent raid.
In the last general election, a section of Kenyans were not happy when Raila Odinga failed to reward the Bunge la Mwananchi youth leader with any nomination slot.
