Monday May 24, 2021 -A fierce conflict has hit the United Democratic Alliance UDA Party in which Gatundu MP Moses Kuria has been part of.
This is happening after claims from UDA party leadership that Mr. Kuria will not be allowed to field any more candidate in any other by-election through his new People Empowerment Party PEP.
The Standard paper reported that the vocal Gatundu MP has threatened to start treating UDA the same way he treats Jubilee in political arena. This far, it is evident that Kuria is hinting at permanently partying ways with Ruto
“My party will have a candidate in Kiambaa whether UDA fields one or not!! I don’t remember my party getting into any coalition agreement with any other party and thus cannot fail to field a candidate for mere hustler nonsense.” Kuria stated.
According to our sources, there is simmering supremacy war among Mt. Kenya politicians who each want to be Ruto’s running mate. For instance, Murang’a County Senator Irungu Kang’ata has fronted Kuria as the best fit to be the 2022 running mate for DP William Ruto. Kang’ata cited the recent exemplary performances by Mr. Kuria in all the Mt. Kenya by-elections.
Kanag’ata argued that with the wins Kuria has secured for himself in Mt. Kenya, it will be hard for anyone else including Ruto to overlook him.
“Moses Kuria, a master strategist, is a ranking member of Tanga Tanga, his two wins in Juja and Gaturi, he has eclipsed pretenders to DP throne in hustler nation, atleast from my own perspective. Happy that he has agreed to look at the wider picture in Kiambaa,” Kan’gata stated.
That those eying to become running mates for the DP will be having a difficult task to convince anyone in the presence of Kuria.
Kang’ata added that that position requires someone popular enough to marshal support for William Ruto in 2022.
Word has it that Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua is among those who are jostling for the Deputy Party position in their United Democratic Alliance UDA.
