Tuesday, January 5, 2021 -Chief Whip in the Senate Irungu Kang’ata’s views on the building Bridges Initiative BBI Report are shallow, political and therefore cannot be relied upon due to the way the author handled the matter.
Majority Leader in the National Assembly Mr. Amos Kimunya has poked holes into the way the senator attacked the BBI project as if he was not part of it and yet he is the siting majority Chief Whip.
Speaking on Citizen Tv News Night show with Wahiga Mwaura on Tuesday January 5, Kimunya noted that the kind of research which Kang’ata did was too local and raw to be taken serious by any rightfully thinking mind. He also added that it was too biased in a way it was conducted within Kiharu Constituency where DP William Ruto’s top ally Ndindi Nyoro also hails from.
“Let him break down the real research steps he applied and where exactly he talked to Mt. Kenya residents. He did a local survey by approaching it with a biased mind,” Kimunya added.
He then advised Kang’ata to use the knowledge he acquired from school to fix his political shortcomings rather than to use populist methods to make ends meet.
Kimunya: BBI process has many components. People need to look at BBI from a bigger perspective…For anyone to start thinking whether people support BBI or not, is like doing a survey on a population that does not even know the product #NewsNight pic.twitter.com/Ln8QuyP5Qu
