Friday, July 30, 2021 -Mr. Josephat Mutunga Mutisya is the new Chief Executive Officer CEO Law Society of Kenya.
Making this changes on Friday July 30 evening, Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi announced that Juliet Jakaila is the Director of Compliance and Ethics and will also double up in the capacity of Deputy Secretary of Council and CEO.
Further, Havi appointed Ms Veronica Achieng as the new Director of Practice and Standards LSK.
The lawyers’ body led by Havi confirmed receiving a total of three applications for the position of CEO and only two were shortlisted and who attended the interviews which were scheduled last Friday July 23.
In the three-man-list are Mr. Mutua Ngumbau Nzioka, Juliet Akoth Jakaila and Josephat Mutunga Mutisya.
“After reviewing the here applications for completeness and conformity with the requirements that had been set out in the advertisement, two managed to be shortlisted,” said LSK divulging that the two who came for the interviews are Mutua and Josephat.
This move has now sealed the fate of Ms Wambua who in June was handed a compulsory leave to pave way for the selection of her replacement a move that she has been fighting to overturn.
