Members of County Assembly now want to get same treatment their National Assembly counterparts receive.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has taken to his Twitter page to list a raft of issues MCAs are pressuring BBI proponents to do for them before they can assure them of their support.
The vocal senator has claimed 1450 MCAs had petitioned both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga with tough request of their irreducible minimums.

The leaders allegedly want to meet both Odinga and President Kenyatta so that they can be assured of these things ahead of the referendum.
From what Homenews.co.ke has been told, the County Assembly members want education qualifications quashed so that anyone with ability to vie can go ahead and do so regardless of their education standards.
There was a parliament law which was passed in 2017 that stipulated how anyone who wants to vie must have acquired a University Degree.
They also want a pension scheme so that, after job, they can also enjoy the same preferential treatment MPs enjoy after duty.
“MCAs are demanding 2 things from BBI 1. Academic qualifications for elective positions to be expunged from the Constitution Election laws 2.
“All leaders be treated equally hence MCAs & Governors be entitled to a pension like President&MPs.
“This is their time like no other. Mambo Bado,” Murkomen who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto tweeted.
Whether this will be agreed upon or not, it will be interesting to see the final results.
