Monday, May 29, 2023 –Lawyer Miguna Miguna has made a confession that opposition leader Raila Odinga is gaining popularity as President William Ruto’s government drops in ratings, by day.
In a long-worded post seen by Homenews.co.ke on Monday May 29 evening, Miguna told President William Ruto to risk making drastic changes in his administration and control his charges against direct confrontation with the people.
Miguna offered an advice to President Ruto and his principal assistant Rigathi Gachagua urging them together with their team to urgently pull back and re-strategise especially on matters tax and taxing Kenyans.
“Pull back. Listen to Kenyans. Withdraw the Finance Bill 2023. Postpone the implementation of the Housing Levy and return to the drawing board.
“Hire new, independent and truthful advisors. Reshuffle your communications team and hire two or three fresh faces. Don’t rely on yes men and yes women. Don’t be defensive. Don’t argue with the people,” he stated.
The Canadian-based lawyer who is inclined towards government further added that it is wrong for the regime to continue keeping quiet on the matters nepotism in government.
“Stop entrenching the perception that you are only hiring exclusively from two ethnic group. Stop hiring and recycling incompetent failures and graft riddled conmen,” he firmly stated.
Dr. Miguna also took issue with President William Ruto who is yet to reprimand his deputy for preaching ‘shareholding gospel’ in government.
“The reckless talk about two shareholders in a country of 50 million people is political suicide. Mwai Kibaki was elected with 68% of votes but was defeated in a referendum 2 years later,” he noted.
He added that, Raila Odinga, of late, has been gaining popularity because many of the senior government officials appointed by Ruto are failing to engage Kenyans in a civil manner.
The self-styled NRM general also advised the Kenya Kwanza government to urgently address the issues of high cost of living, corruption and tribalism.
