Monday, April 17, 2023 –Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has cautioned Mr. Raila Odinga against holding incitement rallies.

Speaking today Monday April 17 in Mombasa during a joint presser with Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff, the Prime CS described Raila’s Kamukunji speech as not only reckless but also risky at the time Sudan is facing its fair share of security challenges.

“Why make such reckless statements when you can clearly see that there is conflict in Sudan which has already flared?” Mudavadi posed.

Mr. Mudavadi said the former Prime Minister should learn to take more responsibility over remarks made by himself and those around him.

“As an adult who has a family and had an opportunity to be in a very high office and you want to cheat Kenyans. These are the kinds of things that we ask our people to move away from,” he stated.

During the Kamukunji rally on Sunday April 16, Embakasi East Member of Parliament MP Babu Owino charged that Raila was wasting time instead of announcing a split of the country into two so that each portion is under self-rule.

“If George Washington, did it in America, Napoleon did it in France, Stalin in Russia, Tunisians did it in Tunisia and Sudanese are doing it Sudan, Baba you can do it in Kenya,” Owino stated.

These sentiments were corroborated by former Murang’a County Governor Mwangi wa Iria who said, if a push comes to a shove, Azimio coalition may become autonomous and start collecting their won taxes.

Mudavadi further condemned Odinga for playing saint and criticising their seven months old government for delaying salaries for civil servants yet he was part of those who created the problem.

On his part, Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir promised to give Raila’s ongoing Azimio protests a wide berth.
