Monday, February 15, 2021 – Sylvanus Osoro, Member of Parliament South Mugirango, was arrested while allegedly planning to disrupt Simeon Nyachae’s funeral service.
According to the police, the youthful MP was in top gear organizing youth groups to heckle a section of leaders who were in attendance.
Osoro was on Friday 1 involved in an altercation with his Dagoretti North counterpart Simba Arati over the Building Bridges Initiative politics. This happened immediately Arati sought an apology from the DP for the Kisii families who lost their kin in Eldoret during the 200/8 post-poll chaos.
“We have several leaders here in the company of our Deputy President who have a tainted life. These are fraudsters who should not be allowed to take up any leadership position,” said MP Arati.


Osoro’s today arrest followed that of Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi who was earlier in the morning arrested for the same reasons.

Simeon Nyachae’s burial service was organized at his rural home in Kisii County and was attended by all top country’s leadership led by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Also in attendance was his Deputy William Ruto and Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga.
Nyachae died after suffering for a longer time what saw him flown in and out of the country for specialized treatment.
