Embattled Lawyer Paul Gicheru has hired services of an established top US lawyer to save him from the jaws of the International Criminal Court ICC.
The lawyer who turned in himself to the court a month ago has reportedly engaged services of the top US Attorney for representation. This is contrary to his earlier assertion that he would stand in for himself.
In his latest submission to the court, he presented the American lawyer by the name Michael G. Karnavas who has a 33 years experiences in war crime matters.
Details through his profile indicate that the legal scholar is a graduate of the Cleveland Marshall College of Law and the George Washington University.

He has been spotted representing many politicians accused of war crimes at the ICC many who were acquitted as a few were convicted.
He was also the lead counsel for Jadranko Prlic, a former Prime Minister of the Croatian Republic of Herzeg Bosnia from 1993 to 1996. Unfortunately his client Prlic was found guilty and sentenced for 25 years.
Back in Kenya, Paul Gicheru had been issued with an arrest warrant five years ago but has been dodging hand of justice all along. His two co-accused are still at large. They are facing charges of blocking justice through witness interference in the DP William Ruto’s case.
The ICC prosecution believed that the lawyer participated in bribing and intimidating witnesses so as to collapse the Ruto’s case which was finally suspended and the accused alongside others left free.
Both DP Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cases were dropped for lack of evidence. They were however not acquitted meaning their cases were subject to revival any time.
