Wednesday, December 7, 2022 –World Leader Power Ranking WLPR report has announced President of Kenya William Ruto as the most influential African leader on social media.
The Kenya’s fifth President is the most influential leader on Twitter in 2022; according to the WLPR figures from Burson Cohn and Wolfe’s (BCW) Twiplomacy latest release.
The Wednesday December 7 report indicated that the newly-sworn in head of State jumped nine positions from the 2021 global ranking. In 2022 he was number 13 worldwide.
In the same report of Wednesday, Twiplomacy still ranked Dr. Ruto third among New World Leaders category.
This is as per the data analysis of October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.
Twiplomacy is a digital diplomacy initiative by a strategic communication agency and part of BCW Global.
“The algorithm assigned a tailored weighting to variables including mentions, tweets, retweets, reach, impressions, follower changes, likes, and follower count,” a statement from Twiplomacy explained.
BCW’s Twiplomacy’s new ranking algorithm has been designed to identify what influence is on Twitter among a particular list of handles.
Currently, William Ruto with 5.6 Million followers is towering both Raila Oding(4.1 followers) and ex-president Uhuru Kenyatta on Twitter platform alone.
President Ruto uses the platform to campaign and also to issue national and international statements on his opinion, plan and progress.
He attracts mostly the youthful bracket who tend to believe in his Hustler ideologies.
