Saturday, February 13, 2021 -Deputy President William Ruto has responded to resignation claims made by his  boss Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking in Isiolo where he pitched camp the whole day Saturday February 13, the DP continued wearing a brave face saying he still enjoys a good working relationship with Uhuru Kenyatta.

To divert attention, he blamed the Orange Democratic Movement ODM politicians for what is going on between him and Uhuru saying it is all fueled by his opponents from the opposition which decided to join government through the backdoor.

“I respect the president, he is in charge and takes all decisions,” the DP said as he noted that he will continue serving in his current position as is provided in the constitution.

He went on to claim that though his roles had been reassigned to other juniors in Jubilee government, he will not be quitting anytime soon because his position is in the constitution and therefore that cannot bother him.

He was speaking this just a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta slammed him saying he(Ruto) likes the culture of double speak which is not good for any leader.

“On one hand he is saying the government has failed and on the other hand he is saying we as a government have done this and that development,” Uhuru said daring the DP to resign if he is not satisfied with the way things are going on in government.

Ruto who seems to have been sidelined by his colleagues due to what has been referred to as ‘bad early politics’ said he will continue serving Kenyans because he was elected and not appointed.
