    Sunday, May 7, 2023 –Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s photos and videos from Bunjumbura excited Kenyans especially on how he was received in a warm manner.

    Uhuru arrived in Bujumbura, Burundi, on Saturday May 6, for a high-level meeting on the status of peacekeeping efforts in Eastern DRC Congo.

    Mr. Kenyatta is the official peace talk facilitator of the EAC-led Nairobi peace process and this saw him address the meeting on the status of the in DRC.

    While there, he met with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi for a two-day regional peace summit also attended by other top African leaders.

    Burundi President Évariste Ndayishimiye received both Kenya’s former President and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi at the presidential palace in Bujumbura, Burundi.

    Little beautiful girls flanked by top government officials could be seen handing Mr. Kenyatta bouquet of flowers as a happy Uhuru smiled to receive them.

    Uhuru, Mudavdai are among African leaders attending the summit of the Regional Oversight Mechanism of the Peace in the war-torn DRC.

    Amani National Congress ANC Party would post one video from the scene showing Uhuru apparently briefing Mudavadi on the same matter.

    The clip elicited mixed reactions from users across major social media platforms.
