Sunday, May 7, 2023 –A group of well-wishers have come together and managed to raise funds – a whopping sh 600,000 – for Ogopa Djs star Colonel Mustapha born Daud Moustapha and his family as of Saturday evening 9 PM.
This writer has also learnt that the amount is still rising up by minute as more well-wishers continue coming on board.


The friends steered by businessman Fauz Khalid, have come together to help address the plight of Kenya’s most respected rap pioneers in the music industry.
Before the money was raised, Mustafa mentioned that he needed a job or capital to start a business so that he can put food on the table and pay a few bills like mother’s medication.
He also noted that his biggest headache right now is his mother’s expensive treatment as she is suffering from deadly Cancer.
In an interview with Eve Mungai, yesterday Saturday May 6, Mustafa mentioned that he needs a job or capital to start a business so that he can support himself.
“I don’t consider doing music; I need a job, something I can do, to help myself. I can manage a club, I can run a shop and I also have a shop that almost closing down because ‘nimekula stock yote.
“For now, we have not registered a till number but they can still send it to my number 0722803924.
“If I get ways to restock, I can continue running it,” he mentioned to Mungai.
He went ahead to reveal that he had done ‘Mjengo’ jobs for close to a year and he used to keep it a secret to save his face in the society.
He admitted that his music career, since Corona pandemic in 2020, has not been doing well and whenever he releases a song it doesn’t see the light of day.


Asked whether friends have tried to bail him out, the half Deux Vultures rap duo said many of them still didn’t take him serious as some decided to screenshot his messages and share out with the purposes of scorning him.
The Monalisa hit maker also said any music recorded at Ogopa DJs in the past is not his as all the rights belong to the stable.
