The pastor who misquoted Bible verses while on a tour at Deputy President’s Surgoi home has responded to ‘quack’ claims.

Speaking to the media from his Kisumu home on Wednesday afternoon October 14th, Pastor John Pesa of Holy Ghost Coptic Church noted that whatever he said should not be taken seriuos since his age could not allow him to grasp every verse as it is in the holly book.

He has since asked Kenyans to understand the contents of what he said and the meaning  instead of making fan of him since he has a face to also protect as a respected old preacher around Kisumu.

DP William Ruto with Pastor John Pesa in Surgoi.

“Mimi ni mzee sana..sikumanisha nilivyosema. I am saddened that people thrive in such issues,” he said.

During his sermon at DP’s Surgoi home, the clergy mixed verses by claiming that King Solomon was the one who killed Goliath when in real sense he was David who brought down the giant Goliath.

The Pastor has also claimed that since meeting with Ruto, his life is now in danger as some people now think he was paid a lot of cash.

He claimed Ruto never paid him a lot of money as believed by his haters and that members of the public should stop blowing the holly tour out of proportion.

The man of cloth further claimed a group of youth last Tuesday had visited his church located at Kanyakwar area along the Kisumu – Kakamega Highway demanding a portion of the loot he allegedly received from Mr. Ruto.

“I feel my life is in danger after being threatened,” Pesa was quoted by the Star adding that, for security reasons, he had to report the matter at Kondele Police Station in Kisumu.

Earlier, Taifa Leo quoted the priest saying he had received only sh 10,000 for his services despite having used sh 6,000 to fuel his two cars to Surgoi.
