Friday, May 12, 2023 –Former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has accepted having been with THE embattled FORMER Citizen Tv news anchor Jacque Maribe on the night of Monica Kimani’s brutal murder.
In an open corroboration with Ms Maribe, Mike Sonko told NTv that he met Maribe at Royal Media Services RMS and persuaded her to remain behind as he went for the Jeff Koinange’s JKL show.
The anchor would agree with the request and after the show was done, together they drove away for a night out until morning.
“I volunteered to take all those who were with me for kamvinyo and nyama choma kule Club Forty Forty which belonged to my friend Allan Igambi formerly GM Serena and Lilian Towers who was also present,” he said.
He revealed that Ms Jacque Maribe was with them at the club after which he left at around 4AM for home, further, saying that he has with him the CCTV footage of the club as evidence.
Former television news anchor Jacque Maribe, who is standing trial in the murder of businesslady Monica Kimani, disclosed to a Nairobi court on Thursday May 12 that she learnt of the businesswoman’s death while reading the news bulletin on Tv at Citizen.
Both Maribe and his former boyfriend Jowie Irungu are facing murder charges of the young Nairobi business lady Monica Kimani.
Mike Sonko has listed others in their nightlife company as Chela Ruto, Hon. Juju, Hon. Nancy, Hon. Anita and other male friends by then Odhis, Show, Swaleh, Pinye, among others.
