Monday, April 17, 2023 –A bus belonging to Tahmeed Bus Company has overturned leaving deaths fear behind in a ghastly accident that occurred along the busy Nakuru- Eldoret highway on Monday, April 17.

A transport company official made this confirmation but could not ascertain the exact number of those who had perished or injured.

Traffic police taking notes on Stella Nyanzi’s car today Sunday Sept 18 morning.

An early reporting by Citizen Digital indicated that the police had confirmed to them that four people had died, 17 others injured.

Our sources told us that the bus overturned in the middle of heavy down pour along the highway as the bus was headed to Malindi from Kisumu and had a total of 26 passengers on board as well as a crew of 3 members.

The driver of the bus veered off the road after losing control hence landing the vehicle in a ditch.

Part of the bus was damaged and windows completely shattered on one side.

Photos from the scene showed that emergency evacuation teams had arrived at the scene to help rush the casualties to the nearby Molo Hospital for treatment.

A similar accident occurred recently on April Saturday, 15, when ten people died after their bus lost control and rolled at the Josa area along Wundanyi-Mwatate road in Taita Taveta County.

The National Police Service NPS would release a statement on the accident saying the bus was ferrying mourners from a funeral when this happened.
