Thursday January 28, 2021 -Controversial Mathira legislator Rigathi Gachagua has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to shelf his plans of meeting Mt. Kenya region leaders on Saturday terming it a waste of time.
On Saturday, the President is expected to meet a section of leaders to drum up support for the Building Bridges Initiative BBI Report which has entered a crucial stage in the counties.
Among those who have not been invited are those allied to the DP William Ruto and who are Hon. Gachagua, Kimani Ichungwah(kikuyu), Ndindi Nyoro(Kiharu) among others perceived to be against the President’s calls for BBI vote.

Gachagua while addressing the media on the matter said whether they are invited or not, their view on the document will not change.
“The facts remain the same, the BBI referendum is unpopular in Mt Kenya,” Gachagua asserted.
He also confirmed that he had not received any invitation from anyone and that those who had been invited will not help the president because they are experts in sycophancy.
“I have not received any invite so far. The very people who will be ferried from various parts of Central will not tell the President the truth. They are the same praise and worship team who have chosen the path of destruction,” Gachagua added.
Uhuru has a task ahead to galvanize his region so that they can speak in one voice.
