Monday, May 15, 2023 –Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuivi Sonko has taken to social media to flaunt notes of dollars he keeps in his cash safe at home.
A visibly angry Sonko, while responding to a user who had wondered why he is not supporting daughters and yet he calls himself Sonko(richman), decided to show the world how he is loaded with only dollars and Kenyan new 1000 notes stashed at home.

“Pesa yangu ni ya kukula na mabibi zangu sio Watoto.
“Shenzi wewe hii sii pesa? Hii si pesa? ..Shenzi sana… na hii ni pocket money tu. Hii ni mafuta tuu,” he kept repeating as he displayed his wealth in a video that has since gone viral.
Reacting to the video, Human Rights activist Boniface Mwangi took-on men who started asking Sonko for free money and some help.
“We keep saying only women are easily impressed by money. But have you seen how men behave around rich men?” Mwangi commented.
The video was first shared on Monday evening by Kenyan American-based Youtuber Andrew Kibe on his social media platforms.
“Tafuta doh uishi ki @MikeSonko” he captioned.

Sonko is a Kenyan politician who has once been an Member of Parliament MP, Nairobi Senator and finally became governor before he was impeached during Uhuru Kenyatta era.
Following his impeachment, he quickly went to focus on his private businesses and, as of now, apart from real estate investments, he has a chain of high-end night clubs both in Nairobi and at the Coast.
