Thursday, May 11, 2023 –Firebrand Lawyer Miguna Miguna is in the country for a series of engagements with fellow Luo leaders.

Sharing his early morning meeting with colleagues in Kenya Kwanza government, Dr. Miguna said the aim is to deliberate on how to liberate their region from the chains of opposition leader Raila Odinga.

“Putting heads together…towards the liberation and transformation of the Luo Nation,” the lawyer indicated.

Prior to his return from Canada, Miguna had hyped his return to the country as the spark that would ignite the Luo Community’s liberation from ODM Party dominance.

Miguna claimed he would lead the rebellion against ODM leader Raila Odinga who is considered the defacto kingpin in their Luo Nyanza now for many years.

The lawyer has recently been traversing the region in the company of ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo and former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero among other leaders allied to President William Ruto with an aim of mobilizing supporters for the ruling regime.

On Thursday, May 11, Dr. Miguna revealed that they were exchanging ideas geared towards the transformation and liberation of Luo Nyanza.

“Liberation is not an act. It is a process. Similarly, the liberation of the Luo Nation is a process. Not an act. Liberation requires many strategies and tactics – overt and covert.

“To liberate a nation – any nation – requires a visionary, focused, committed and fearless leadership. We are equal to the task. And time and history are on our side,” he added.

Miguna’s issues with Raila started way back when the latter went into Handshake arrangement with former president Uhuru Kenyatta who he accused of authorising his disrespectful deportation back to Canada where he also has a home and family.
