Wednesday, May 31, 2023 –President William Ruto has struck out the name of former Kiambu County executive officer whom he had rewarded with a plum State role in his Cabinet.
Faith Njeri Harrison, a former County Executive Committee CEC member in Kiambu County, had earlier been listed by the president to be the Principal Secretary PS State Department for Performance Management in Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s office.

But just before her vetting, her name was suddenly dropped, and a replacement was named in new changes announced by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, on Wednesday May 31.
Interestingly, there was no reason given even as President Ruto brought on board her replacement ahead of the vetting exercise.
The post became vacant following the dramatic May 23 resignation of Ms Esther Ngero who had been moved to the Correctional Services department against her wishes. She would then cite personal reasons.
In her previous docket, Ms Ngero served in the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
The new nominee, Wang’ombe, is a human resource practitioner and educationist with vast experience spanning three decades.
She is currently serving as the Manager of the Kenya Revenue Authority Staff Pension Scheme KRASPS; a position she has held since 2018.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Education Administration & Planning from the University of Nairobi UoN.
